Is there anything more romantic than exploring a new city with your significant other? Walking hand in hand, stopping to sample delicious food, and seeing the sites is great way to make memories with the one you love. 

Vienna, Austria

Vienna is Austria’s capital city. It is situated on the Danube River and it is known for its art and architecture. You can visit Schönbrunn Palace to see its baroque architecture and opulent interiors. The St. Stephen’s Cathedral is an iconic landmark which also has catacombs and a treasury museum.

You can take a stroll through the beautiful Stadtpark with a river and ornate bridges. Vienna was once a residence for maestros such as Mozart and Beethoven and was also the home of Sigmund Freud.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Buenos Aires is Argentina’s cosmopolitan capital and is known for shopping, cafes, restaurants and tango. You can visit the city’s square Plaza de Mayo and take a tour into the Casa Rosada which is the Argentinean presidential palace. If you like visiting cemeteries then be sure to visit La Recoleta Cemetery that is filled with plenty of mausoleums and a lot of statues.

Treat yourself to an opera performance in the stunning Teatro Colón, an ornate theatre. The Parque Tres de Febrero is a great place to spend your day strolling around lush green scenic views with a lake and rose gardens.

Paris, France

Vilnius, Lithuania

Vilnius is Lithuania’s capital and it is filled with baroque and neoclassical architecture and cobblestoned streets that are lined with cafes and boutique shops. Be sure to visit the 3 storey Gediminas’ Tower which was constructed in the 15th century. Take a stroll around the bohemian neighbourhood of Užupis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Church of St. Anne is a beautiful Roman Catholic Church known for its gothic architecture and two tall towers. You can also visit The Neris River which is popular for rafting and parks.

Lagos, Portugal

Lagos is a stunning municipality that lies in the south of Portugal’s Algarve region and the area is filled with cliffs, beaches and has a stunning walled Old Town. Renting a villa in a scenic spot is the perfect way to escape from the world and you can enjoy spending time relaxing by the pool with your other half and cooking meals together with locally sourced food.
